Davi Pontes & Wallace Ferreira
Repertoire N.2 is the second part of a choreographic experiment to think of dance as a practice of self-defence. Using deviant and informal techniques, Davi Pontes and Wallace Ferreira bet on an alternative, underground genealogy of self-defensive practices. With choreographies like Repertoire N.2 they commit themselves to think critically about the world we live in. While performing the choreography between imagination and intuition, trying to free their thoughts from the tools of understanding.
Davi Pontes is an artist, choreographer, researcher and a master's student at the Graduate Program in Arts at Universidade Federal Fluminense (Brasil). With that, Pontes is interested in deepening the concepts of raciality and self-defence. Among his most recent works, the film Delirar o Racial, the Repertório de Autodefensa School and the Repertório trilogy stand out.
